Kindergarten Kids: About Miss Leone

Hello families! Here are some things you might not know about me…

I grew up in North Andover Massachusetts and spent my summers at Seabrook Beach in New Hampshire. I absolutely love being at the beach! The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing for me. I am the youngest in my family of 4 and I am lucky enough to have the two most amazing parents and older sister who I look up to as a role model. My mother was a teacher for 36 years. She taught me everything I know! My drive and ambition comes from my mom. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Family Studies with a young child specialization and a minor in Education. I then continued on to earn my Masters Degree in Elementary Education and am certified in NH for grades K-8.

Teaching is my passion! There is nothing like witnessing a child discover something new for the very first time. The classroom is my "special place". The kindergarten classroom, in particular, is a colorful, lively and energetic place where children learn and grow together. I love coming to school every day! I work with wonderful educators and incredible students.

I travel to lots of different places with my family. Our relatives live in Greece and Italy, so I am lucky enough to travel every few years to both of these countries and immerse myself in their culture. I lived in the Gold Coast of Australia for 5 months while I studied abroad. I was lucky enough to travel all throughout this beautiful country! I have traveled to every continent except Antarctica. Lots of my stories stem from my travels to these places.
