We had a GREAT first day in kindergarten! Once we all got settled in the classroom, we had no tears! It was an awesome, but very HOT day! Hopefully the weather will ease up soon so it isn't so hot for us inside and outside.

Today, we got a little bit more used to our classroom, each other, how to play together, how to be respectful to each other, and how to have fun and learn while we explore the things in our new classroom! We read First Day Jitters and talked about what we were "jittery" or nervous about. In this book, it's the teacher who is most nervous about school! Mrs. Guilmette and I talked all about how jittery we were to meet our new class and make sure everything went well. We then drew a picture that showed what our jitters were.

We also took a tour of the school! We met lots of teachers on the way and saw some familiar faces. The kindies were very happy to see our "HUGE SCHOOL!" We enjoyed a second recess in the afternoon and ended our day with the happy "Icky Sticky Bubble Gum" song. Ask your child to sing it to you!

Overall, we had an awesome day in K!! I will post pictures as soon as I receive the permission slips for photos/videos. Thanks for everything and I hope you enjoyed the adorable "First Day of Kindergarten" picture. Here is mine….
